After the First World War, our great-grandfather began trading in fur and animals for a living. He initially used horse-drawn carts to trade with the neighbouring region of Cadore in the province of Belluno, and in 1932, he began using a small lorry. Our grandfather Rudolf expanded this business, transporting young pigs to Belluno and returning with cattle hides and furs from animals such as foxes and martens. He also transported various other types of goods.
 

In 1946, Rudolf began supplying restaurants and inns in Sexten with Pedavena beer in 0.2-litre bottles, a size that was not available in South Tyrol at the time, but one that was very popular. What initially began as something small soon became a significant business venture. In 1951, we began working with the company Scheiber from Bruneck and the Forst brewery from Merano. In 1965, we added mineral water and fruit juices to our product range and stopped trading in fur and animals.
 

In 1974, Rudolf’s son Peter took charge of the company. Due to the growing customer base, a new storehouse together with a dwelling house was built in 1976 on Europaweg in Sexten. In 1984, we began selling wine, spirits and international beers, enabling us to offer a comprehensive service to our catering customers.
 

In 1990, we moved to a new site in the commercial zone Schmieden in Sesto, which offered additional capacity and a wider range of wines and spirits. In 2008, we opened our modern drinks wholesale market with a specialist wine store.
